Volcanoes National Park Hike

If you are on the Island of Hawaii and seeking adventure, a hike around Volcanoes National Park is essential. We will meet at the designated time at K?lauea Visitor Center to begin this hiking route.

First, we will descend into the Halema?uma?u Crater of K?lauea Volcano. Within the first mile, we will observe the remnants of an active volcano, including steam vents and sulphur banks.

Our path will lead us through a rainforest featuring tree ferns, ohia trees, and honeycreeper birds. The unique flora in this volcanic environment will be highlighted.

Upon reaching the bottom of K?lauea crater, we will encounter the K?lauea lava lake, an impressive sight. We will take a moment to appreciate this natural phenomenon before continuing our hike.

To conclude the hike, we will reach a viewpoint to take in the vistas of K?lauea crater and, if fortunate, witness a K?lauea eruption. After a total of 3 hours hiking around Volcanoes National Park, we will return to the starting point and conclude our adventure.
