Helsinki and Suomenlinna Guided Tour
After pickup, we will embark on a panoramic tour of Helsinki. From our air-conditioned vehicle, we will see iconic sights such as the Olympic Stadium, Esplanade Park, and Market Square.
We will make three short stops for photos and to admire landmarks. The first stop is at the Sibelius Monument, honoring composer Jean Sibelius. Next, we will visit Senate Square to see the facade of the Lutheran Cathedral of Helsinki. Lastly, we will view the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, known for its intricate red brick architecture.
From Uspenski Cathedral Square, we will head to the port of Helsinki to board a ferry for the picturesque island of Suomenlinna. The crossing takes approximately 15 minutes, offering views of beautiful archipelagos along the southern coast of Finland.
Upon arrival, we will take a walking tour of Suomenlinna, a World Heritage Site with natural and historical attractions. We will explore gardens and the remains of the ancient fortress. We will also visit the church of Suomenlinna, noted for its turquoise roofs and bell tower.
After the island tour, we will take the ferry back to the port of Helsinki.
