On this architecture tour in Helsinki, we'll discover the eclectic spirit of the Finnish capital as we see iconic buildings such as the National Library, Cathedral, and the Pohjola.

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at Aleksanterinkatu Street to start this tour of architecture in Helsinki. We will uncover the secrets of the most important buildings in the Finnish capital.

We will explore the city to understand its changes over time and how this is reflected in its buildings, highlighting a mix of architectural styles, including neoclassicism, Nordic classicism, modernism, and Art Deco.

The National Library of Finland and Helsinki Cathedral will be two of the first monuments we visit. While admiring their facades, we'll delve into the 19th century to learn about their construction.

Next, we will visit the Pohjola building and access the Jugendsal Room, showcasing the national Finnish romance architecture. We will also see the Academic Library and the renowned Eliel Saarinen train station.

After 3 hours, we will conclude this tour outside the Central Library Oodi.
