On this architecture tour in Helsinki, we'll discover the eclectic spirit of the Finnish capital by seeing iconic buildings such as the National Library, Cathedral, and Pohjola.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Aleksanterinkatu Street to begin this tour of architecture in Helsinki. We'll uncover the secrets of the most important buildings in the city.

We will explore the city to understand how it has evolved and its reflection in the architecture. The tour will showcase a variety of architectural styles, including neoclassicism, Nordic classicism, modernism, and Art Deco.

The National Library of Finland and Helsinki Cathedral will be among the first monuments we observe. While admiring their facades, we'll delve into their 19th-century construction.

Subsequently, we'll visit the Pohjola building and the Jugendsal Room, both exemplary of national Finnish romance architecture. We'll highlight their details, along with the Academic Library and the renowned Eliel Saarinen train station.

After 3 hours, we'll conclude the tour outside the Central Library Oodi.
