Helsinki Walking Tour
We'll meet at 9 Aleksanterinkatu Street in Helsinki at 2 pm for a walking tour that highlights all the must-see sights around this Nordic city.
Itinerary
The tour begins in the historic centre, where we will first visit the central Senate Square. Here, you will see the Palace of the Council of State and the famed Lutheran Cathedral, one of Helsinki's most iconic buildings. Nearby, we will also explore the Uspenski Cathedral, known for its fascinating contrasts.
As we continue our journey through Helsinki, we will arrive at the Market Square and stroll through Esplanade Park. Along the way, we will follow the Helsinki Railway tracks to Kansalaistori, where we will stop for a moment at the Marshal Mannerheim equestrian statue to learn about its significance.
Our next stop will be the Kamppi Chapel of Silence, an important space for the local community. To conclude the guided portion of the tour, we will visit the modern building of the Oodi Central Library.
Additionally, participants will have the chance to indulge in local flavours with a sampling of traditional berry juice and unique sweet treats.
The tour is expected to conclude around 5 pm.
