Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Hakaniemi market to start a tour of the Kallio neighbourhood.
Kallio was once a working-class neighbourhood and today is known as one of the most creative and alternative areas of Helsinki. As we walk towards its park, we will share interesting facts.
During the tour, we will see the exterior of Kallio Church, a Lutheran temple from the early 20th century notable for its large granite tower. We will discuss the building's role in the Finnish Civil War.
As we walk through Kallio, we will pass Bear Park, along with various cafes, exotic shops, and vintage clothes markets.
We will conclude at the starting point after 2 hours.
