Porkkala Day Trip

Experience a refreshing day surrounded by the natural beauty of the Porkkala Peninsula. This journey from Helsinki invites you to traverse vibrant landscapes while observing captivating wildlife!

Day Trip Overview

We will meet at Nervanderinkatu, 2, near the Helsinki Central Station. From there, our adventure will commence as we head west towards the stunning Porkkala Peninsula, with an estimated travel time of around 50 minutes.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a featuring dense forests, expansive sea views, fresh air, tranquil ponds, and diverse wildlife.

Next, we'll embark on a 7-kilometre hike to explore the rugged shoreline of the peninsula. As we navigate the forest trails, you may encounter foxes, moose, deer, and various other intriguing animals. If you’re visiting in spring or summer, keep an eye out for swans!

After completing the hike, we will pause to savor some traditional Finnish snacks. Following this break, we will conclude our excursion by returning to the initial meeting point in Helsinki, where we will part ways after a memorable 4.5-hour journey together.
