During this journey to Sipoonkorpi National Park, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a hiking adventure complemented by a traditional Finnish smoke sauna experience.

Sipoonkorpi National Park Adventure + Finnish Sauna

We will convene at Mannerheiminaukio at the scheduled meeting time. From this central location in Helsinki, a minibus will transport us towards Sipoonkorpi National Park.

After approximately 40 minutes of travel northward, we will arrive near Sipoonkorpi. Here, we will commence our hiking journey through stunning Finnish landscapes, rich in diverse wildlife including numerous bird and mammal species inhabiting the southern Finnish forests.

As we progress, we will pause at various points to gain insight into the natural fauna of Sipoonkorpi and admire lakes, cliffs, and impressive rock formations that invite photo opportunities at every turn!

Midway through our trek, we will arrive at a picturesque lake, where we'll savor a delightful traditional meal. With our hunger quenched, we will continue our exploration of the Sipoonkorpi trails until we find a smoke sauna, a cherished Finnish cultural tradition. This is an ideal way to unwind and destress!

In the sauna, the temperature will range from 80 to 100 degrees Celsius, with water being poured over heated stones to generate a soothing steam known as löylö. Following the sauna session, enjoy the invigorating experience of immersing in the nearby lake’s refreshing waters, truly a memorable moment!

In conclusion, we will begin our return walk to the starting point, after which the minibus will take us back to Helsinki, wrapping up our 6-hour excursion to Sipoonkorpi National Park.
