Chania, Kournas Lake & Rethymno Day Trip

At 7:30 am, we'll gather at the arranged meeting point in Heraklion. From there, we'll head west along the coast of Crete to Chania, our first stop.

In Chania, we'll explore the Old Town, including the harbor, the Venetian fortress, and Turkish mosques. You'll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant and to continue exploring.

After Chania, we'll proceed to Kournas Lake, known for its lush vegetation and large freshwater habitat. Here, you'll experience the diverse flora and fauna, including eels and two-color turtles, and have time to swim in the lagoon.

Next, we will visit Rethymno for a guided tour, where you'll see the 16th-century Venetian fortress, Rimondi Fountain, and the Loggia.

We will return to the meeting point in Heraklion by approximately 7:30 pm.
