Feel like a trip to paradise? On this day trip to Preveli beach from Heraklion, you'll have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island of Crete.

Day Trip to Preveli Beach

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Heraklion, and from there we'll set off towards the southern coast of Crete.

At around 11 am we'll arrive at the dazzling Preveli beach, where you'll have four hours of free time to enjoy one of the most unique natural enclaves on the island. The bus will drop you off at a parking lot close to the cove, and from there you'll have to walk about 15 minutes down some steps to the beach.

Preveli beach is nestled between breathtaking cliffs and next to the mouth of the Megalos Potamos river. The river current forms an oasis-like lagoon surrounded by palm trees right by the shore. This was a main hippie destination on the island of Crete between 1960 and 1980.

You can explore the lagoon, the beach, and the multiple lookout points. The cove also has a small restaurant where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine.

Finally, at 3 pm we'll pick you up at the parking lot of Preveli and begin our trip back to the capital of Crete. We should arrive at your hotel between 5 and 5:30 pm.
