Tour Details
After meeting in front of Hari's Creperie at the designated time, we'll begin our journey by visiting some of Crete's most celebrated sites, starting with Gortyna, Phaistos and Zaros. During the tour, we'll delve into the history of the ancient Minoan civilisation while exploring important landmarks on the island of Crete.
We'll first visit Gortyna, the Roman capital of Crete, inhabited around 3200 BC, to explore its impressive ruins.
Next, we will drive through The Mesara Plain to the archaeological site of Phaistos, the heart of the Minoan civilisation.
Following this, we will go to Matala Beach, where you'll have around 2 hours of free time for swimming and lunch at seaside restaurants.
Our next stop will be Zaros, known for its spring water and stunning natural views. This area is ideal for nature lovers.
The excursion will conclude at our original meeting point 10 hours after the start of the tour.
