If you want to learn about the history of Crete and discover all about the Minoan culture, this guided tour of the Heraklion Archaeological Museum is a must.

Tour Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of Hari’s Creperiê and walk to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum to start this guided tour.

The museum has the largest collection of Minoan art in the world, featuring pieces from 6000 BC to the Roman times. It is considered one of the most important museums in Europe.

The exhibition is divided into 27 rooms, including the Minoan collection, the Minoan frescoes and the historical period. The tour will showcase ancient finds, including everyday items and weapons.

We will also see famous objects such as the Minoan snake goddess figurines, the reconstruction of the fresco Prince of the Lilies, the Minoan gold ring depicting ritual scenes, and Minoan pottery adorned with birds and fish.

After 2 hours, we will conclude the activity at the starting point.
