Why Visit Knossos Palace?
The Knossos Palace is the largest palace of the Minoan civilisation, covering around 22,000 square metres, and is the oldest in Crete, dated between the 18th and 12th centuries BC. It is important for those interested in history and Greek culture.
This ticket allows you to walk among the ruins. The complex includes a central courtyard, royal and servants' quarters, administrative officials' quarters, halls for worship and receptions, and handicraft shops.
During your visit, you will enter the Throne Room of Knossos, see the central courtyard, storerooms, and Queen's apartments, and view the fresco of the dolphins. The palace is also linked to the legend of the Minotaur.
