Spinalonga Day Trip

This excursion to Spinalonga offers the opportunity to explore some of Crete's most delightful locales, inviting you to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea.

Trip Overview

Following your pickup at the designated meeting point, we will proceed to the stunning harbor of Elounda. Here, we will embark on a boat that will first take us to Kolokitha Bay and Beach.

In this serene setting, you will have approximately 1.5 hours to enjoy swimming in the inviting waters and savor a delightful barbecue-style meal prepared on board, featuring grilled pork chops, Greek salad, feta cheese, bread, wine or soft drinks, and seasonal fruits.

Subsequently, we will navigate towards Spinalonga Island, a location steeped in a compelling history. Join us on a 1.5-hour guided exploration to uncover its intriguing past as a natural barrier for the ancient city of Olous, a refuge for Saracen pirates, a Venetian stronghold, and a Turkish settlement.

As we make our way back by boat to Elounda, we will switch to a bus for our next destination. During the trip, we will pause for 30 minutes at a local park for a traditional olive oil tasting.

Our journey continues to Agios Nikolaos, the charming capital of Lasithi, where you will have 1 hour of leisure time to shop for local crafts or enjoy a moment of relaxation at a café by the renowned Lake Voulismeni.

Concluding our adventure, we will return to the pickup point, wrapping up the experience in approximately 9 to 12 hours, depending on your accommodation's location.
