Discover the captivating traditions and nature of the Greek island on this tour of the towns in the center of Crete!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Heraklion Archeological Museum. We'll board a minibus and begin our comprehensive tour of the towns of Crete's center.

First, we'll visit the town of Zaros, known for its springs and a major source of Greece's drinking water. We'll walk through its natural surroundings while discussing its history, including Byzantine monasteries and Lake Votomos with its emerald waters.

Next, we will head to Vatos, a hidden town in the forest. During our stroll, we'll explore traditional customs and visit a traditional cauldron for raki preparation.

Then we'll reach Spili, featuring the iconic Kefalovriso Fountain with 25 lion heads and a small waterfall. You'll have one hour of free time here for lunch.

Our next stop is the town of Lampini, where we'll explore the Church and Museum of Panagia with frescos from the 12th and 14th centuries. We'll also learn about Lampis' history and hike to St. Anthony's Throat.

After a total of 10 hours, we'll begin our journey back to Heraklion, concluding our day trip.
