Discover the captivating traditions and nature of the Greek island on this tour of the towns in the center of Crete!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Heraklion Archeological Museum. Once ready, we will board a minibus and begin our tour of the towns of Crete's center.

First, we'll visit the town of Zaros, known for its springs, which supply much of Greece's drinking water. We will walk through the nature of Zaros while discussing its history related to water sources. You will pass by Byzantine monasteries and see Lake Votomos.

Our next stop will be Vatos, a hidden town in the forest interior of Crete. While exploring its streets, you will discover traditional customs, including agricultural utensils and a traditional cauldron for preparing raki.

Continuing, we will reach Spili, home to the iconic Kefalovriso Fountain, featuring 25 lion heads. You will have one hour of free time to eat.

Next, in the town of Lampini, we will visit the Church and Museum of Panagia, which has frescos from the 12th and 14th centuries. We will also explore sites such as St. Anthony's Throat, where a hike will be available.

After 10 hours, we will begin our journey back to Heraklion, concluding our day trip.
