Yécora Forest 2-Day Excursion

Day 1: Hermosillo - Yécora

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hermosillo and head to Yécora, a Sonoran town in the Sierra Madre Oriental. The trip by minibus will take almost five hours.

Upon arrival, we’ll leave our luggage at the hotel and enjoy lunch. Afterward, we’ll go to Rancho La Cueva, where we'll have a 3-kilometer hike to the top of a rocky outcrop. The views from the top are exceptional.

During the tour, we'll take a 40-minute horseback ride through the dense coniferous forests of the Tarahumara Indigenous Peoples. We will conclude the day with a dinner featuring various grilled meats.

Day 2: Yécora - Hermosillo

We’ll start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then visit a curious forked tree in the shape of a 'Y'. Following this, we’ll explore the center of Yécora, including the main square, colorful letters, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

Next, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and visit Mesa del Campanero for a local vegetable garden tour to learn about typical products. Finally, we'll go to the Mirador El Bordo viewpoint to see expansive pine forests.

We’ll return to Hermosillo, with an estimated arrival at your hotel by 8 pm.
