Vía Verde de la Plata Bike Tour

Embark on a scenic bike tour through the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the historic Vía Verde de la Plata, once the path of an ancient railway!

Tour Highlights

We'll meet up at the designated time on Avenida de la Constitución in Hervás, located in the Ambroz Valley in Cáceres.

We'll set off towards the route's starting point in the upper part of Béjar, a town in Salamanca, where you'll receive all necessary equipment and instructions for the bike tour along the Vía Verde de la Plata.

Over the course of 3 hours, we will navigate through the landscapes of the Sierra de Béjar mountains and lush forests, on a route that follows a 19th-century railway path connecting Plasencia and Astorga.

We’ll pedal through the Ambroz Valley, passing notable towns such as Béjar and Baños de Montemayor, before returning to Hervás to return the bikes and conclude the tour.

Bike Options

When booking, choose between a mountain bike or an electric bike. For those traveling with children, a tricycle-style bike is available, accommodating one or two small children.
