PADI Open Water Diving Course
Day 1: Theory & practice in confined waters
Pickup will be at 8:30 am at your hotel in Punta Cana, followed by a session at the diving center covering basic theory on diving techniques, including equipment assembly, underwater navigation, oxygen tank use, mask clearing, and underwater communication. Next, practice will occur in a confined water area to gain comfort with the equipment.
Days 2 & 3: Open water dives
During the next two days, you will complete a total of four open water dives. You will explore the Caribbean seabed, testing your skills with a wetsuit and the diving techniques learned. Discover colorful starfish, hawksbill sea turtles, seahorses, and tropical fish, alongside large coral reefs. At the end of the course, you will receive a PADI Open Water certificate.
Duration
The course lasts three days, involving five and a half hours of lessons daily. Alternatively, you may extend it to four days with four hours of lessons per day.
Important
After the final dive, maintain a minimum of 24 hours before flying or visiting high-altitude locations.
Hotel Pickup
Option with hotel pickup: You may select hotel pickup upon reservation (available for Punta Cana and Bávaro hotels). We will provide daily pickups and drop-offs.Option without hotel pickup: If you opt out, we will meet you at Grand Bay of the Sea, Cabeza de Toro Road, Punta Cana.
