PADI Open Water Diving Course
Day 1: Theory & practice in confined waters
We'll pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel in Punta Cana and take you to the diving center, where we'll start with basic theory on diving techniques. You will learn about assembling equipment, underwater navigation, oxygen tank use, mask clearing, and underwater communication.
After theory, we'll proceed to a confined water area to practice and become comfortable with the equipment.
Days 2 & 3: Open water dives
In the next two days, we will conduct a total of four open water dives. You will explore the Caribbean seabed, testing your ability to move freely with the wetsuit and the skills learned. We will search for starfish, hawksbill sea turtles, seahorses, and schools of tropical fish, alongside large coral reefs. At the end of the course, you will receive a PADI Open Water certificate.
Duration
The course spans three days with five and a half hours of lessons per day. Alternatively, you can extend it to four days with four hours of lessons daily.
