PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Theory & practice in confined waters

Pickup will be at 8:30 am at your hotel in Punta Cana to take you to the diving center. The course begins with basic theory on diving techniques, including equipment assembly, underwater navigation, oxygen tank use, clearing the mask, and tips for underwater communication. You will then practice in a confined water area to become comfortable with the equipment.

Days 2 & 3: Open water dives

Over the next two days, you will complete a total of four open water dives. In this environment, we will assess your skills while exploring the seabed, looking for starfish, hawksbill sea turtles, seahorses, and schools of tropical fish near large coral reefs. Upon completion, you will receive a PADI Open Water certificate.

Duration

The course spans three days with five and a half hours of lessons each day. Alternatively, extend the course to four days with four hours of lessons per day.

Important

After your last dive, wait at least 24 hours before boarding a plane or visiting high-altitude areas.

Hotel Pickup

Option with hotel pickup: Select this option during reservation for pickup at hotels in Punta Cana and Bávaro. We will transport you each day and drop you off afterward.Option without hotel pickup: If selected, meet at Grand Bay of the Sea, Cabeza de Toro Road, Punta Cana.
