Day Trip Overview

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel at the scheduled time, guiding you into the vibrant heart of the Dominican Republic. Prepare to discover captivating landscapes!

Our initial destination is the banks of the Chavón River, where you'll enjoy a picturesque 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) trek, providing a chance to connect with the local ecosystem, including the fascinating rhinoceros iguana.

We will then sail to the river's mouth and navigate the Caribbean Sea to investigate the Atlantis Princess, a historic sunken freighter near the coral reefs—a fantastic location for snorkeling. Following this, we'll visit a nearby sandbank for another invigorating snorkeling opportunity.

Our journey continues to Saona Island, celebrated as one of the most stunning spots in the Dominican Republic. You will have around three hours of leisure time to explore the beach, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, and unwind beneath the swaying palm trees.

Enjoy a buffet lunch at a coastal restaurant, featuring dishes like Arab rice, pasta, a medley of vegetables, crispy fried chicken, grilled pork chops, and a refreshing green salad.

After lunch, we will embark on an adventure to spot turtles on Saona Island, known for its expansive sandbanks. The tour will conclude at Altos de Chavón, a charming Mediterranean-style village that will mesmerize you with its unique architecture and stunning surroundings.

At the conclusion of the day, we will return you to your hotel, wrapping up this full-day experience that lasts between 9 to 11 hours.
