Part of the success of this tour lies in achieving something truly special: moving away from mass tourism.
With over 110 square kilometers, Saona Island has become one of the Caribbean’s top attractions. Its stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters make it a must-visit destination.
Our journey begins at one of the island’s most untouched beaches: Flamencos Beach. This narrow stretch of fine white sand is lined with coconut palms and surrounded by turquoise waters and a beautiful lagoon. During the rainy season, you may even witness flocks of pink flamingos.
Just a few minutes away by boat, we stop at the charming fishing village of Mano Juan, known for its colorful houses. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to walk through its streets and visit a small sea turtle sanctuary.
Canto Beach
Considered the most beautiful beach on Saona Island.
Located in one of the most remote areas of the island, Canto Beach features a shallow coral reef where, with a bit of luck, you can spot a wide variety of colorful fish, stingrays, and other marine species.
Its combination of coconut palms, fine white sand, and crystal-clear turquoise waters makes it the most breathtaking beach on the island.
Natural Pools – The starfish paradise
Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the day is the stop at the famous Natural Pools of Saona Island—one of the largest sandbanks in the world.
Here you’ll enjoy warm, shallow, crystal-clear waters, home to giant starfish. This unique ecosystem has become a must-see thanks to its extraordinary beauty.
Starfish can be found from just a few centimeters deep to depths exceeding 40 meters, making this a truly magical natural habitat.
