Whale Watching in Samaná + El Limón Waterfall

See the majestic humpback whales as they swim by your side in the sanctuary of Samaná Bay. We'll also visit the famous waterfall El Limón and go horseback riding!

During the booking process, you can choose from the following tour options:

Whale Watching + Bacardi Island

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana and head towards the Miches pier. A stop will be made midway before transferring to another bus to take us directly to the pier. At the pier, we'll board a catamaran to start our search for humpback whales in Samaná Bay.

We'll explore the whale sanctuary area and learn about their behavior. Humpback whales can dive up to 200 (656 ft) meters and often perform elegant spins and sing courting songs.

The tour will conclude at Bacardi Island, where we'll enjoy a buffet lunch. Afterward, we'll return to the dock in Miches, and then back to your hotel in Punta Cana, wrapping up this 8.5-hour activity.

Whale Watching + El Limon Waterfall + Bacardi Island

In this option, we first participate in the humpback whale watching activity as described previously.

After two and a half hours of sailing, we'll return and disembark at the Santa Barbara pier. A 4x4 vehicle will take us to the village of El Limón, where we'll meet the community.

We'll then go horseback riding to discover endemic species and visit the impressive El Limón waterfall, a 50-meter-high (156 ft) waterfall with turquoise pools for swimming.

After the horse ride, we'll return to Santa Bárbara for a buffet lunch of fish, rice, and beans. With renewed energy, we will depart for Bacardi Island to relax and enjoy drinks. Finally, we will return to Punta Cana, dropping you off at your hotel after a total of 11 hours.
