Whale Watching in Samaná + El Limón Waterfall

See the majestic humpback whales as they swim by your side in the sanctuary of Samaná Bay. We’ll also visit the famous waterfall El Limón and go horseback riding!

During the booking process, you can choose from the following tour options:

Whale Watching + Bacardi Island

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana and head towards the Miches pier. Halfway there, we will stop to switch buses to reach the pier. Once at the pier, we will board a catamaran to begin our search for humpback whales in Samaná Bay.

We'll visit the humpback whale sanctuary area to learn about their behavior. Humpback whales can dive up to a depth of 200 (656 ft) meters. You will witness their surfacing, performing elegant spins and singing their courting songs.

The tour will conclude at Bacardi Island, where we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch, we will sail back to the dock in Miches and return to your hotel in Punta Cana, completing this 8.5-hour activity.

Whale Watching + El Limon Waterfall + Bacardi Island

With this option, we will first do the humpback whale watching activity in Samana as previously described.

After two and a half hours, we will disembark at the Santa Barbara pier, where a 4x4 vehicle will take us to the village of El Limón. Here, we will go horseback riding to see the El Limón waterfall, a 50-meter-high (156 ft) waterfall with turquoise pools for swimming.

After the ride, we'll return to Santa Bárbara for a buffet lunch. Post lunch, we will board a catamaran to Bacardi Island to relax under the sun. Finally, we'll return to Punta Cana and drop you off at your hotel after a total of 11 hours.
