Take a day trip from Portland to Mount Hood and Multnomah Falls, two of Oregon’s most significant natural landmarks.

Activity Details

We'll begin by picking you up at your Portland hotel and embark on this day trip to Multnomah Falls and Mount Hood. After a half-hour journey, we will cross the Columbia River Gorge and arrive at the stunning Multnomah Falls, which features a 189 m (620 ft) drop—the highest in Oregon. We will stop for 30 minutes to explore the area and admire the Benson Bridge.

Next, we will visit the Rowena Crest Viewpoint for unique panoramic views for 20 minutes. Following this, we will stop at the Packer Bakery for 20 minutes to sample local products before heading to Hood River, where we will spend an hour exploring the river that originates from Mount Hood's glaciers.

The journey continues through the Mount Hood National Forest, passing coniferous trails, Tamanawas Falls, and White River West Park. We will visit the historic Timberline Lodge, located at over 1,800 m (5,900 ft), for half an hour, where you can learn about its history and architecture. Here, you will also get a view of the imposing Mount Hood, which has 12 glaciers.

Finally, we will return to Portland and drop you off at your hotel after an 8.5-hour excursion.
