Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour

Hiroshima Castle and Itsukushima Shrine are iconic landmarks included in this tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima.

Description

Meet at Hiroshima Station to begin this immersive tour. We will travel by bus to explore the rich history of Japan.

During the bus ride, view the modern reconstruction of Hiroshima Castle, originally destroyed by the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945.

Next, we will arrive at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial for a half-hour tour. Here, explore the memorial park with exhibitions dedicated to the victims of World War II, including the Genbaku Dome.

After this, enjoy a traditional lunch and sample okonomiyaki.

Following lunch, travel to Miyajimaguchi Pier to board a ferry to Miyajima Island. Once there, explore sites like Itsukushima Shrine, the Great Torii Gate, the Goju-no-to Pagoda, and the Toyokuni Temple.

You will have an hour of free time on Omotesando Street to explore additional attractions at your leisure.

At the end of the tour, return to the pier for the ferry ride back to Hiroshima, where a bus will take you to the main station, concluding our tour.

If the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will visit the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead.
