Hiroshima Castle and Itsukushima Shrine are iconic landmarks visited during this tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima.

Description

Meet us at Hiroshima Station to start our bus journey through the history of Japan. You'll see a modern reconstruction of Hiroshima Castle, originally destroyed by the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945.

We will arrive at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial for a half-hour tour. This expansive memorial park contains exhibitions and structures honoring the victims of World War II, including the Genbaku Dome.

Next, enjoy a traditional lunch featuring okonomiyaki, a typical Japanese dish.

After lunch, we'll head to Miyajimaguchi Pier to board a ferry to Miyajima Island. Upon arrival, you can explore sites like Itsukushima Shrine, the Great Torii Gate, the Goju-no-to Pagoda, and the Toyokuni Temple.

You will have an hour of free time along Omotesando Street to explore more of Miyajima at your leisure.

Lastly, we will return to the pier, take the ferry back, and board a bus to the main station, concluding the tour.

Important

If the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will visit the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead.
