Hiroshima Castle and Itsukushima Shrine are key landmarks on this tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima.

Description

We will meet at Hiroshima Station to begin our bus journey, exploring the history of Japan.

On the way, you will see a modern reconstruction of Hiroshima Castle, originally destroyed by the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945.

We will arrive at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial for a half-hour tour of the memorial park, which honors the victims of World War II, including the Genbaku Dome.

Afterward, enjoy a traditional lunch featuring okonomiyaki, a typical Japanese dish.

Next, we'll head to Miyajimaguchi Pier to catch a ferry to Miyajima Island. Here, we will explore prominent sites such as Itsukushima Shrine, the Great Torii Gate, Goju-no-to Pagoda, and Toyokuni Temple.

You will have an hour of free time on Omotesando Street to explore additional attractions at your own pace.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the pier for the ferry ride back to Hiroshima, where a bus will take us to the main station, concluding our tour.

If the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will visit the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead.
