Miyajima Japanese Cultural Experience

When booking, you can choose a cultural experience with 2 or 3 activities. They all start at the Okeiko Japan Academy in Miyajima.

2 activities experience

If you choose this option, you'll enjoy two experiences from a Japanese calligraphy workshop, an amulet workshop, or a tea ceremony. Each activity lasts 30 minutes.

Once we meet at the academy, the cultural immersion will begin. During the first 30 minutes, we'll assist you in wearing a traditional kimono before starting the activities.

If you choose the writing workshop, you'll learn to write your name using Japanese letters. In the craft workshop, you'll discover how traditional Japanese amulets are made. If you opt for the tea ceremony, you'll explore the symbolism behind each gesture in this ritual. The activities conclude 1.5 hours later.

3 activities experience

For an even more complete experience, this option includes all three cultural workshops. After donning the kimonos, you'll engage in all activities, ensuring both fun and learning. The experience will last 2 hours.
