Stunning scenery, delicious oysters, cheese and beer and much more await on our Bruny Island Day Trip. We'll set off from Hobart and have an incredible day in this southern Tasmanian island.

Bruny Island Day Trip

At 7:45 am, we'll meet at Hobart Harbour and travel to the south of the island by bus. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at Kettering Wharf for a 10-minute ferry ride to Bruny Island.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a bus tour of Bruny Island to explore its main scenic and gastronomic highlights. Our first stop is at a local restaurant for cheese and beer tasting. Next, we will enjoy views from The Neck Lookout.

The tour continues into the Mavista Rainforest for a walk in search of white kangaroos. We will then head to a restaurant overlooking Adventure Bay for lunch, which includes oysters and two glasses of wine, beer, cider, or juice.

Post lunch, a visit to the Bligh Museum will provide insight into the history of Bruny, followed by a trip to the Two Tree Point observation deck.

Subsequently, we'll stop at the HIBA Gardens and the Bruny Island Chocolate Company to sample treats. We'll also visit two local landmarks to sample and purchase local honey and oysters.

We will conclude our tour at the pier in the north of the island and take the ferry back to Kettering. The bus will return to Hobart, with drop-off at 6 pm.
