Bruny Island Day Trip

Stunning scenery, delicious oysters, cheese and beer and much more await on our Bruny Island Day Trip. We'll set off from Hobart and have an incredible day in this southern Tasmanian island.

Bruny Island Day Trip

At 7:45 am, we'll meet at Hobart Harbour and travel to the south of the island by bus. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at Kettering Wharf where we'll take a 10-minute ferry ride to Bruny Island.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a bus tour of Bruny Island to discover its main scenic and gastronomic highlights. Our first stop will be at a local restaurant for a tasting of cheese and beer. We will then continue our tour to The Neck Lookout for panoramic views.

Next, we will visit the Mavista Rainforest for a walk to spot white kangaroos. Lunch will be at a restaurant overlooking Adventure Bay, featuring oysters and two drinks of wine, beer, cider, or juice.

After lunch, we will visit the Bligh Museum to learn about the history of Bruny, followed by a stop at the Two Tree Point observation deck.

Our itinerary includes the HIBA Gardens and the Bruny Island Chocolate Company for cocoa treats. We'll also visit local landmarks for honey and oyster sampling.

The tour concludes at the northern pier of Bruny Island, where we will take the ferry back to Kettering. We will arrive in Hobart and drop you off at 6 pm.
