Bruny Island Day Trip

Stunning scenery, delicious oysters, cheese and beer and much more await on our Bruny Island Day Trip. We'll set off from Hobart and have an incredible day in this southern Tasmanian island.

Bruny Island Day Trip

At 7:45 am, we'll meet at Hobart Harbour and travel to the south of the island by bus. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at Kettering Wharf where we'll take a 10-minute ferry ride to Bruny Island.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a bus tour of Bruny Island to explore its scenic and gastronomic highlights. Our first stop will be a local restaurant for a tasting of cheese and beer. Next, we'll enjoy views from The Neck Lookout.

We will then visit the Mavista Rainforest for a walk to spot white kangaroos. Lunch will be at a restaurant overlooking Adventure Bay, featuring a serving of oysters and two glasses of wine, beer, cider, or juice.

After lunch, we will visit the Bligh Museum to learn about the history of Bruny, followed by a stop at the Two Tree Point observation deck.

Next, we will visit the HIBA Gardens and the Bruny Island Chocolate Company for cocoa-based treats. We will also visit two local landmarks for sampling and purchasing local honey and oysters.

We will conclude our tour at the pier in the north of the island and take the ferry back to Kettering. From Kettering, we will return to Hobart and drop you off at 6 pm.
