Stunning scenery, delicious oysters, cheese and beer and much more await on our Bruny Island Day Trip. We'll set off from Hobart and have an incredible day in this southern Tasmanian island.

Bruny Island Day Trip

At 7:45 am, we'll meet at Hobart Harbour and travel to the south of the island by bus. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at Kettering Wharf where we'll take a 10-minute ferry ride to Bruny Island.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a bus tour of Bruny Island to discover its scenic and gastronomic offerings. Our first stop will be at a local restaurant to taste cheese and beer. Following this, we'll admire views from The Neck Lookout.

Our trip will continue into the Mavista Rainforest for a walk to observe white kangaroos. Next, we'll enjoy lunch at a restaurant overlooking Adventure Bay, featuring oysters and two glasses of wine, beer, cider, or juice.

After lunch, we'll visit the Bligh Museum for insights on the history of Bruny, then proceed to the Two Tree Point observation deck.

Next, we will stop at the HIBA Gardens and the Bruny Island Chocolate Company for cocoa-based treats. Additional stops will include local landmarks to sample and purchase honey and oysters.

We will conclude our tour at the pier in the north of the island, boarding the ferry back to Kettering. From Kettering, we'll take the bus back to Hobart, with drop-off at 6 pm.
