Day Trip to Richmond & Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Discover Tasmania's history and wildlife on this day trip to Richmond and the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary from Hobart!

Tour Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the top of Mount Wellington for views of the city. Along the way, we'll see Salamanca Place and Battery Point, iconic buildings in Hobart.

After enjoying the views from Mount Wellington, we'll visit Richmond to learn about its history, including Richmond Bridge, Australia's oldest stone bridge built by prisoners. We will also see St John's Church and other buildings constructed by inmates.

You'll have one hour of free time to explore Richmond, shop, or have lunch.

Next, we'll go to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to discover Tasmania's wildlife. A guided tour will allow you to see Tasmanian devils and other species such as wombats, quolls, possums, wallabies, and koalas. You can also feed some of the animals.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Hobart, concluding this 5.5-hour day trip.
