Explore Tasmania's natural beauty on a full-day trip to Mount Field National Park. Discover lush landscapes, visit a historic salmon hatchery, and marvel at breathtaking Russell Falls.
Tour Details
We’ll pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the scenic Derwent Valley, taking in views of the local wildlife and lush landscapes along the Derwent River.
On the way, we'll pass through New Norfolk and stop at a historic salmon hatchery, providing insight into Tasmania’s fishing traditions. We’ll enjoy a cup of tea before continuing to Mount Field National Park.
Upon arrival, we’ll explore the park through walks and minibus rides. Among towering eucalyptus trees, myrtles, and ferns, we’ll learn about the park's flora, including species that are over 400 years old.
A key stop is Russell Falls, Tasmania’s most photographed waterfall, where you’ll have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch.
After our break, we’ll depart the park and begin the return journey to Hobart, crossing the Bowen Bridge for a final view of the Derwent River.
The tour lasts six and a half to seven hours, concluding with a drop-off at your hotel.
