Tour Overview
Your adventure begins as we collect you from your accommodation at the designated time. We then set off towards the picturesque Derwent Valley, where sweeping vistas and vibrant wildlife unfold, framed by the flowing Derwent River.
En route, we will traverse New Norfolk and pause at a historic salmon hatchery, which provides insight into Tasmania's esteemed fishing heritage. While there, you'll be able to savor a comforting cup of tea before we proceed to the magnificent Mount Field National Park.
Upon reaching Mount Field, a blend of walking excursions and minibus rides will guide us through the park's notable attractions. Strolling beneath the impressive eucalyptus trees, myrtles, and ferns, observe and learn about the remarkable plant life, including ancient species that span over 400 years!
A highlight of the journey is a visit to Russell Falls, the most iconic waterfall in Tasmania, where you'll have an hour to enjoy lunch at your leisure.
Following our meal break, we will begin our journey back to Hobart, crossing the Bowen Bridge for one last picturesque view of the Derwent River.
After approximately six and a half to seven hours, we will conclude the tour by returning you to your hotel.
