Find out why Columbus was dazzled when he arrived in Cuba on this day trip to the Bariay National Monument from Holguin. See historic monuments, a fascinating show, and lovely beaches!
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Holguin in a classic car, followed by a 1-hour drive to the Bariay National Monument Park, where we'll be welcomed with coconut water and a Cuban coffee.
"The most beautiful land that human eyes would have seen." These were the words that Christopher Columbus said upon his arrival on October 28, 1492.
We'll discuss this historical event while admiring the monument commemorating it, featuring neoclassical ruins and replicas of aboriginal objects, offering exceptional views of Jururú and Bariay Bay.
We will visit a local's house to learn about regional traditions, followed by a 45-minute horse and carriage ride through Bariay Park to explore the coastal vegetation, microphyll forest, and mangrove areas.
Next, enjoy a show representing Aborigine culture. After the show, you will have 2 hours of free time to relax at Bariaya Beach, Esmeralda Beach, Pesquero Beach, or Guardalavaca Beach. Feel free to take a refreshing dip and enjoy your packed lunch.
We will return to Holguin, arriving at your hotel approximately 6 hours after pickup.
