Tour Overview

At the appointed time, we'll collect you from your accommodation in Holguín aboard a classic car. This vintage ride will take us northwards to the seaside town of Gibara, often referred to as the Villa Blanca or White Village of Cuba.

Upon our arrival, you'll be treated to a welcome cocktail in a central spot of the town. Following this, we'll embark on a guided walking tour through Gibara's historic center. Our first destination will be the Fernando VII Battery Fort, constructed in the 19th century by Spanish forces to protect the town from pirate incursions. While admiring this formidable structure, we will also appreciate the stunning vistas of Gibara Bay.

Next, we will navigate towards the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by beautiful colonial architecture. Close by, the Natural History Museum awaits, featuring various exhibitions showcasing the wonders of biology, including the impressive skeletons of a sperm whale and a pilot whale.

After our museum visit, we’ll make our way to the Gibara viewpoint for a spectacular view, highlighting the charming cobblestone streets against the backdrop of the Atlantic. Following this, we will enjoy a local lunch at a restaurant within the old town, where you can choose from a variety of dishes including seafood, fish, chicken, pork, or beef.

Post-lunch, we will explore the Panaderos Cave, part of the Polja del Cementerio cave system. This cave, adorned with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, contains the names of bakers who once visited, adding an air of mystery as the origin of their visits remains unknown—an intriguing puzzle!

We will conclude our adventure in Gibara and transport you back to your hotel in Holguín, wrapping up a delightful 5-hour experience.
