Ever heard of the Villa Blanca of Cuba? Discover its charm on this trip to Gibara, one of the most beautiful cities in the eastern part of the Caribbean island.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Holguín in a classic car. On board this vintage vehicle, we'll drive north to the coastal town of Gibara, also known as the Villa Blanca, or White Village, of Cuba.

Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a welcome cocktail in a central location of the city. Afterwards, we'll take a walking tour through the old town of Gibara, with our first stop at the Fernando VII Battery Fort, built in the 19th century by Spanish militants. We’ll have views of the Gibara Bay from this site.

Next, we’ll visit the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial-era buildings. Nearby is the Natural History Museum, featuring exhibits on biology, including the skeletons of a sperm whale and a pilot whale.

We'll continue to the Gibara viewpoint for views of the cobbled streets against the Atlantic. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the old town, with options for seafood, fish, chicken, pork, or beef.

After lunch, we'll explore the Panaderos Cave, part of the cave system of the Polja del Cementerio, known for its stalactites and stalagmites and the names of bakers carved inside. The origin of their visits remains a mystery.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Holguín, concluding the tour after 5 hours.
