Faial Island Half Day Tour

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Horta to start our tour of Faial Island. Are you ready to discover all that this paradise on the Azores has in store for you?

First destination of the day: the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. From this vantage point, we'll admire some of the island's landmarks, such as Praia do Almoxarife, Horta, Marina, Monte Queimado and Monte da Guia.

We'll then continue the tour to Caldeira, the most famous natural site on Faial Island. With a 2 kilometer diameter and a depth of 400 meters, this crater is covered by a laurel forest.

Our next stop will be the Ribeira das Cabras viewpoint, from which we'll admire the Fajã da Praia do Norte and the Capelo Peninsula.

Next, we'll visit Capelinhos Volcano, where the area was covered by volcanic ash from the eruptions that took place in 1957 and 1958.

We'll finish this tour with the best coast views from the viewpoint of Monte da Guia and return to your hotel in Horta at 2:30 PM.
