Did you know that the vineyard landscape of Pico Island is a World Heritage Site? On this tour, you'll discover the flora, fauna, and history of one of the most beautiful islands of the Azores.
Pico Island Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Horta and take a boat to Pico Island. We'll explore the landscapes of vineyards, declared a World Heritage Site, and visit the villages on this island.
Upon arrival, we'll explore the village of São Mateus, home to one of the oldest parishes. A visit to a crafts workshop is also included.
Next, we'll go to Lajes do Pico, the first inhabited area, where we will visit the Museo dos Baleeiros to learn about the significance of fishing. If the tour is on a Monday, the museum is closed, and we will spend more time at other visited sites.
A buffet lunch will be provided at a local restaurant before heading to São Roque. On the way, we will stop at Lagoa do Capitão, famous for its views.
After taking pictures, we will visit Vila de São Roque and the parish of Bandeiras. The tour concludes at Arcos do Cachorro, known for its stunning sea caves.
Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Horta after a 7-8 hour exploration of Pico Island.
