Feel like breathing in the pristine fresh air of Chilean Patagonia? On this hiking tour, we'll walk along the shores of Lake Cabrera, surrounded by forests and volcanoes.

Lake Cabrera Hiking Tour

Pick-up is at 7:30 am at your hotel in Hornopirén. From this town in the Los Lagos region, we will start our journey to the trailhead.

The hike features a medium-difficulty route of about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles), traversing lush forests and showcasing a variety of botanical species native to the Andes, including myrtles, tepas, cirguerillos, canelos, ulmos, and lumas.

We will reach the breathtaking Lake Cabrera, located 530 meters (1,700 feet) above sea level, at the foothills of the Hornopirén and Yates volcanoes. We will explore the source of the Cuchiledo River and learn about its underground spring.

A break will be taken on the shores of Lake Cabrera to admire the scenery and enjoy a snack bar, a piece of fruit, and a hydrating sports drink before beginning our return trek.

We will return to your hotel in Hornopirén by 1:30 pm.
