Huamantla Walking Tour

At the appointed time, we will meet at Hotel Las Candelas to start this guided tour of Huamantla, the first Pueblo Mágico in Tlaxcala. This designation is given to municipalities with significant cultural value.

The tour will cover the main points of interest in town. We will pass by the Convent of San Luis and its colonial parish church. Next, we will visit the Basilica de la Caridad and the Casa de la Cultura, a cultural center with eight rooms for workshops and exhibitions, originally constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries as a school.

The tour continues to the National Puppet Museum, showcasing an extensive collection of puppets from various countries including India, Indonesia, France, and Spain. A highlight of the exhibition is the puppets created by the Rosete Aranda brothers, known for their successful puppet company in Latin America and Europe.

After an hour and a half, we will conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point, where we will say goodbye.
