Tortilla-Making Class

In this corn tortilla-making class, participants will learn about the significance of corn tortillas in Mexican cuisine and have the opportunity to make them. The class will take place in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, known as the "place of the corn tortilla" in Quechua.

The meeting point is at the hotel Las Candelas, where participants will start the experience. The activity includes an explanation of the history of corn cultivation in the region and the origin of corn tortillas. Attendees will discover 10 different varieties of organic corn that locals use in their tortilla recipes.

After the presentation, there will be a workshop where participants can apply their knowledge to make their own corn tortillas. This will be followed by a tasting of local corn products.

The class duration is approximately one and a half hours, concluding with farewells.
