Huaytapallana Hiking Tour

Tour Highlights

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Huamanmarca Park and embark on a minibus journey to Estancia Huaytapallana, the starting point for our hike. Before the trek, you will have time for breakfast at the estancia.

We will then set off on the hike toward the snowy summit of Huaytapallana. The ascent will take approximately 3 hours, and we will explore the mountain's mysteries. The name "Huaytapallana" means "where the flowers are gathered."

Our route includes the Enchanted Lakes, which features Carhuacocha, Cocha Grande, and Yanaucsha. We will take time for photos.

At the midpoint, we will perform a ceremonial offering to Pachamama using coca leaves, with our local guides explaining this ancient Peruvian tradition.

We will reach an elevation of 4,950 meters (16,240 feet) before Huaytapallana's slopes, where we will enjoy views of the glacier and Mantaro Valley.

The descent will take approximately 1.5 hours along the Abra Yanauchsa route before returning to Estancia Huaytapallana, where lunch is available at your own expense. We will conclude the trip in Huancayo 10.5 hours after starting.
