Huiscapuquio, Corivinchos + Shutjo Canyon Day Trip

We'll pick you up at the Huamanmarca Plaza in Huancayo to start our day trip exploring notable locations in Jauja province.

The first stop will be at the Huiscapuquio Thermal Baths for about an hour. Here, you can enjoy the mineral-infused waters known for their skin benefits.

Next, we will visit the Pachacayo cattle ranch, close to Shutjo Canyon, known for its natural landscapes.

In Canchayllo, we'll explore the main square, church, and the Corivinchos archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, we will pass through the Raimondi puya forest. A one-hour stop will be made for lunch at local restaurants.

Proceeding through Canchayllo, we will take time to enjoy the Raimondi Puya forest. Following the exploration, a one-hour break will allow for lunch in the vicinity.

Our final destination is Shutjo Canyon, characterized by rock formations with walls up to 70 meters high. You will have time for photos and to appreciate the view before descending for a different perspective.

On our return to Huancayo, we will stop at a distillery for a tequila tasting, concluding the day. After 11 hours of hiking, we will return to the starting point in Huancayo.
