Tour the Imperial City
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hue to start our full tour of Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
We'll begin with a guided tour of the Imperial City, home to the Nguyen dynasty from 1892 to 1945. Discover artifacts such as the Hien Lam Pavilion, Nine Imperial Urns, and The Mieu Palace.
Next, we’ll explore the Purple Forbidden City, once reserved for the emperor, visiting the royal library, garden, and theater.
Following this, we’ll visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest in Hue, built in 1601, which houses a historic car associated with monk Thich Quang Duc's protest.
We’ll then board a boat for a scenic cruise down the Perfume River to enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. After recharging, we’ll continue to the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, regarded as one of the most impressive mausoleums of the dynasty.
We’ll stop at the vibrant village of Thuy Xuan, known for its incense and conical hats. The tour concludes with a visit to the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, notable for its blend of Vietnamese and European artistic styles. After 7 to 8 hours, we'll bid farewell at your hotel.
