Day Trip to Gibraltar
Your tour guide will pick you up from your chosen meeting point for the trip to Gibraltar, a British territory since the 18th century. The Rock has been a focal point of disputes due to its strategic location near the Strait separating it from Africa.
Enjoy a minibus tour of the Rock and a guided visit to St Michael's Cave, known for its extensive limestone cave network used by military forces since the Middle Ages. Explore various chambers while learning about the historical sieges and battles.
Next, visit Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar, offering views over the Port of Algeciras and the Strait of Gibraltar. On clear days, the Rif Mountains in Morocco can be seen. This area is home to the Shrine of Our Lady of Europe and the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque, a gift from the King of Saudi Arabia.
Meet the Barbary macaques, Europe's only wild primate species. It is said that British presence in Gibraltar will continue as long as these monkeys reside on the Rock. After Europa Point, you'll have free time to eat at local restaurants (not included) or shop duty-free.
At the end of the trip, return to Huelva and be dropped off at your hotel.
