More than three thousand years of history and an important role in the conquering of the Americas have left Huelva with a rich cultural heritage. Learn all about it on this panoramic city tour.
Huelva Guided City Tour Itinerary
We'll meet at the train station at the specified time to start this guided tour of Huelva. Aboard a bus, we'll explore the main sites of interest in the city.
Your local tour guide will point out the Queen Victoria district, a neighborhood built in British style in the early 20th century for miners working for the Rio Tinto mining company.
The bus tour will pass by Huelva Cathedral, located on the former site of the Convent of La Merced, built in the 17th century. The old convent building now houses the central campus of the University of Huelva.
The tour will also take you to Casa Colón, a symbol of the city's industrial heritage, which now serves as a congressional palace and hosts the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival.
In the historic centre, the bus tour ends, and we will explore the city on foot. We will visit the Provincial Museum to learn about its archaeological significance.
Our stroll will include Casa Colón, the monument of the Virgin of Rocío, the church-museum of the Virgin of La Esperanza, and key sites like the Town Hall, Plaza de las Monjas, Gran Teatro, and the Concepción Church.
We will conclude at Huelva's market and the Muelle del Tino, a historic pier now popular for fishing and riverside strolls.
The tour lasts for 4 hours.
