Explore Huelva's fascinating history and vibrant city center on this guided tour, where the Reina Victoria neighborhood, Hotel Colón, Gran Teatro, Mora Claros Palace, and many other iconic sites take center stage.

Description

We'll meet at the scheduled time beside the Caseta del Guarda and set off on our guided tour of Huelva.

Our journey begins with a stroll through the Reina Victoria neighborhood, a Cultural Heritage Site of British origin. We will discuss the Anglo-Saxon immigrants who settled here in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The route includes the historic Hotel Colón, built for the 4th centenary of the Discovery of America. This hotel was frequented by British executives and was one of the few accommodations with electricity and hot water at that time.

After visiting Casa Colón, we will explore Huelva's old town, including the San Francisco seaside district, the monument to the Virgen del Rocío, City Hall, and the Gran Teatro.

We'll also visit the Mora Claros Palace, noted for its wrought iron railings, tiles, and stained glass. This building is a symbol of the city's economic prosperity.

The tour includes a visit to the historic Riotinto mineral wharf, a notable example of 19th-century industrial architecture, with panoramic views of the Odiel River.

Following our 2-hour and 15-minute exploration, our guided tour concludes beside the Riotinto pier.

On Sundays, participants should note that we won't have access to the interior of Hotel Colón or the Mora Claros Palace, as these locations are closed.
