Explore Huelva's history and city center on this guided tour, featuring notable sites including the Reina Victoria neighborhood, Hotel Colón, Gran Teatro, and Mora Claros Palace.

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time beside the Caseta del Guarda and begin our tour of Huelva. Our journey starts with a stroll through the Reina Victoria neighborhood, a Cultural Heritage Site with a British origin. We will discuss the Anglo-Saxon immigrants who settled here in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The tour includes a visit to the historic Hotel Colón, built for the 4th centenary of the Discovery of America. At that time, it was one of the few accommodations that offered electricity and hot water. Next, we will explore Huelva's old town, walking through the San Francisco seaside district, where we will see the monument to the Virgen del Rocío, City Hall, and Gran Teatro.

Additionally, we will venture inside the Mora Claros Palace, noted for its wrought iron railings and tile decor, recognized as a symbol of the city's economic prosperity. The tour also covers the historic Riotinto mineral wharf, an example of 19th-century industrial architecture with scenic views of the Odiel River.

The guided tour lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes and concludes beside the Riotinto pier.
