Explore Huelva's history and city center on this guided tour, highlighting the Reina Victoria neighborhood, Hotel Colón, Gran Teatro, Mora Claros Palace, and other iconic sites.

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time beside the Caseta del Guarda and start our guided tour of Huelva.

The journey begins with a stroll through the Reina Victoria neighborhood, a Cultural Heritage Site of British origin. We will discuss the eclectic houses and the Anglo-Saxon immigrants who settled here in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Next, we will visit the historic Hotel Colón, built for the 4th centenary of the Discovery of America, which was frequented by British company executives and known for its amenities like electricity and hot water.

Afterwards, we will explore Huelva's old town, passing through the San Francisco seaside district to see the monument to the Virgen del Rocío, City Hall, and Gran Teatro, learning about local hubs for the bourgeoisie.

We will also venture inside the Mora Claros Palace, known for its wrought iron railings and decorated with tiles and stained glass, representing the city’s economic prosperity.

The tour includes a visit to the historic Riotinto mineral wharf, showcasing 19th-century industrial architecture and offering views of the Odiel River.

Our exploration lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, concluding beside the Riotinto pier.
