Follow in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus on this historic trail. Explore the places that the legendary explorer visited as he prepared for his great expedition to the Americas.

Huelva: On the Trail of Christopher Columbus

Upon pickup from your chosen location, the tour of the "lugares colombinos" begins, a historic route in Huelva province visited by Columbus. Your expert local guide will provide insights as you head to Palos de la Frontera.

In Palos de la Frontera, you will visit the 13th century Franciscan monastery, La Rábida Friary, where Columbus stayed after his expedition request was rejected in 1490. It has been a Spanish National Monument since 1856.

Next, you will proceed to the Wharf of the Caravels, a museum dedicated to Columbus' journey. Here, you will see full-size replicas of the three ships from the first voyage to the Americas: the Pinta, Niña, and Santa María.

The visit includes the Isla del Encuentro, or "Island of Discovery," which recreates scenes that the adventurers may have encountered in the "New World".

After exploring Columbus' trail, you will be returned to the pickup point in the city centre.

The tour includes pickup in Islantilla, El Portil, El Rompido, Huelva, Isla Canela, Isla Cristina, and Punta Umbria. You will see various meeting points during the booking process.
