Zambezi River Rafting

You will be collected from your hotel at Victoria Falls and taken to the office for a briefing on the day’s activities and instructions on how to control the raft.

Next, you will receive all necessary equipment at the camp. The group will then walk down to the river bank to practice paddling and controlling the rafts with expert guides.

Once ready, the adventure begins as you navigate white-water rapids over a route of between 6 and 10 miles. The exact section of the river varies by season due to changes in water levels and force.

After the activity, you will return to the hotel.

Rafts

Choose from three types of rafts for your rafting experience on the Zambezi river:

Oar raft: Suitable for inexperienced participants, children, and seniors. Guides control the raft, allowing passengers to enjoy the views without paddling.Stern Mount Raft: Ideal for families and those with prior rafting experience. Similar to the oar raft but with a rigid frame; the guide controls it while passengers assist with paddles.Advanced paddle rafts: Everyone paddles, following the guide's instructions. This type is recommended for experienced rafters due to a higher risk of overturning, with stops to prepare for rapids. A kayak will be on standby for assistance if needed.
