Rafting on the Zambezi river from Victoria Falls

Satisfy your lust for adventure by taking a rafting trip on one of the wildest rivers in Africa. Explore the stunning surroundings of Victoria Falls and feel the thrill of navigating the Zambezi River.

Zambezi River Rafting

We will collect you from your hotel at Victoria Falls. You will be taken to the office where we will provide an overview of the day's itinerary and instructions on how to handle the raft.

Afterward, we proceed to the camp, where you will be equipped with all the necessary gear for the activity. We will then head down to the river bank, where expert guides will assist you in practicing your paddling and raft control skills.

Once comfortable with the basics, it’s time to hit the water and embark on this adventure! You will conquer white-water rapids over a route of between 6 and 10 miles. The portion of the river we navigate varies with the seasons, reflecting changes in water levels and river strength.

As you reach the end of the route, soaked and exhilarated, you will realize you have completed a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Upon finishing the activity, we will return to your hotel.

Rafts

There are three types of rafts available for this activity, each offering a unique rafting experience on the Zambezi River.

Oar raft: perfect for inexperienced participants, children, and seniors. The guides navigate the raft, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy the views without paddling.Stern Mount Raft: suitable for families and individuals with prior rafting experience. Similar to oar rafts but equipped with a rigid frame at the back, the guide operates the raft while passengers assist with paddling.Advanced paddle rafts: in this option, everyone uses paddles to steer the raft, guided by instructions from the guide. This setup has no fixed frame or oars, making it suitable only for those with prior rafting experience due to the increased risk of capsizing. We will pause to plan for each stretch of rapids, and a kayak will be on standby for support in case of any falls.

CÓMO FUNCIONA?

You will begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel at Victoria Falls. After a briefing on the day's schedule and raft handling techniques, you will proceed to the camp for equipment allocation. With guidance from expert instructors, you will practice your skills before entering the river.

During this experience, you have the flexibility to choose from three raft options, each catering to different experience levels. Rafting varies based on water levels, so your route may differ with the seasons. Following the rafting, you will be returned to your hotel.
