El Salto Waterfall 2-day Private Hiking Tour

Day 1

At 6 am we'll meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué. We'll take a 4x4 to Juntas, starting our trekking route to El Salto waterfall. In Juntas, we'll have breakfast to prepare for the excursion. At 7:30 am we'll begin our hike towards the El Salto School. The trail will take us six to eight hours through Combeima canyon, offering views of the snow-capped Tolima summit.

Midway, we'll take a break for lunch with rice, meat, plantain, and lemonade. Eventually, we'll arrive at the rural inn of El Salto School, a refuge for mountain lovers and home to young farmers, where we'll rest until the next day.

Day 2

On the second day, we'll have breakfast at the school's rural inn. We will begin a one-hour hike to El Salto waterfall. After enjoying the waterfall's scenery, we will return to the school and head back to Juntas. This descent will take five to six hours, during which we'll stop for a hamburger and take in the views of Nevado del Tolima, which is over 5200 meters high.

We will then travel back to Ibagué in a jeep, arriving at approximately 5 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation at the rural inn of the El Salto School.
