El Salto Waterfall 2-day Private Hiking Tour

Day 1

At 6 am, we'll meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué and travel by 4x4 to Juntas, where the trekking route to El Salto waterfall begins. After a breakfast in Juntas, we'll start our hike at 7:30 am toward the El Salto School. The trail will take six to eight hours, traversing the Combeima canyon with views of the snow-capped Tolima peak.

We will have a break for lunch, consisting of rice, meat, plantain, and lemonade. We'll then reach the rural inn of the El Salto School, where we will rest for the night.

Day 2

The second day begins with breakfast at the school's rural inn. We will depart for a one-hour hike to El Salto waterfall, so remember your camera. After viewing the waterfall, we will return to the school and then descend to Juntas, taking five to six hours. During the descent, we will stop for a hamburger, enjoying views of the Nevado del Tolima, which stands over 5200 meters (17060 feet) high.

Finally, we will take a jeep back to Ibagué, arriving at 5 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation at the rural inn of the El Salto School.
