El Salto Waterfall 4-day Private Hiking Tour

On this 4-day trekking route we will explore the Andean forests at the foot of the Tolima volcano, culminating in a visit to the El Salto waterfall.

El Salto Waterfall 4-day Private Hiking Tour

Day 1: Ibague - Finca Santa Clara

We will meet at 6 am at Carrera 4d in Ibagué, followed by a 40-minute 4x4 drive to the start of the hiking route. After breakfast, we will embark on an eight-hour trek towards Santa Clara farm, passing waterfalls along the way and reaching a viewpoint. Dinner and overnight stay at Finca Santa Clara.

Day 2: Finca Santa Clara - Finca Meridiano

Following breakfast, we will begin a five-hour hike to Finca Meridiano, enjoying views of Nevado del Tolima and the San Romualdo river canyon. Overnight stay at Finca Meridiano after dinner.

Day 3: Finca Meridiano - Finca El Salto

We will have breakfast and depart at 8 am for an eight-hour hike. The path will be uneven and humid as we traverse the San Romualdo river canyon to reach El Salto waterfall. Lunch will be served at El Salto School, followed by rest at the inn.

Day 4: Finca El Salto - Ibagué

After breakfast, we will travel towards Juntas with a five-hour drive showcasing the landscape around the snow-capped volcano. We will return to Ibagué, concluding the hiking route by 5 pm.
