On this 4-day trekking route, we will explore the Andean forests at the foot of the Tolima volcano, culminating at the El Salto waterfall.
El Salto Waterfall 4-day Private Hiking Tour
Day 1: Ibague - Finca Santa Clara
At 6 am, we will meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué and take a 40-minute 4x4 drive to the hiking start point. After a breakfast, we will hike towards Santa Clara farm over an eight-hour period, passing various waterfalls and reaching a viewpoint. We will arrive at Finca Santa Clara for dinner and campsite rest.
Day 2: Finca Santa Clara - Finca Meridiano
After breakfast, we will embark on a five-hour hike to Finca Meridiano, enjoying views of the Nevado del Tolima and the San Romualdo river canyon. We will conclude the day at Finca Meridiano for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Finca Meridiano - Finca El Salto
Following breakfast, we will depart at 8 am for an eight-hour hike. We will navigate uneven terrain and reach El Salto waterfall, where we will enjoy lunch at the El Salto School rural inn, then rest until the next day.
Day 4: Finca El Salto - Ibagué
On the final day, after breakfast, we will drive towards Juntas for five hours, taking in the scenery near the snow-capped volcano and Combeima Canyon, the entrance to Los Nevados National Park. We will return to Ibagué, concluding the hiking route at 5 pm.
