El Salto Waterfall 4-day Private Hiking Tour
Day 1: Ibague - Finca Santa Clara
We will meet at 6 am at Carrera 4d in Ibagué and take a 40-minute 4x4 drive to commence the trek. After a breakfast to energize us for the day, we will hike for eight hours toward Santa Clara farm, passing several waterfalls and reaching a viewpoint. At the end of the day, we will arrive at Finca Santa Clara for dinner and overnight camping.
Day 2: Finca Santa Clara - Finca Meridiano
After breakfast, we will embark on a five-hour hike to Finca Meridiano. Along the way, we will enjoy views of the Nevado del Tolima, which stands over 5200 meters high, and the San Romualdo river canyon. We will conclude the day at Finca Meridiano, where we will have dinner and camp overnight.
Day 3: Finca Meridiano - Finca El Salto
We will have breakfast and depart at 8 am for an eight-hour hike through uneven terrain, culminating at El Salto waterfall. Afterward, we will arrive at the El Salto School, a rural inn, for a lunch of soup, vegetables, rice, and meat. We will rest here until the next day.
Day 4: Finca El Salto - Ibagué
On the final day, after breakfast, we will drive for five hours toward Juntas, enjoying the landscape at the foot of the snow-capped volcano and passing through Combeima Canyon. We will arrive in Juntas and return to Ibagué, concluding the hiking route at 5 pm.
