Entreaguas Natural Reserve Day Trip

A day trip to the Entreaguas Natural Reserve to enjoy its biodiversity while hiking is something you can't miss during your visit to Ibagué.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ibagué to set off to the Entreaguas Natural Reserve, located on the trail of San Simón Coello.

Our first stop will be for a typical breakfast featuring a popular lechona tolimense, a dish made of long-grilled pork meat stuffed with onions, peas, fresh herbs, and spices, served with rice.

After breakfast, we'll proceed to the Coello-Cocora trail to explore the natural reserve. Here, we'll start a hiking route to discover the local flora and fauna and learn about Álvaro Mutis, a notable Colombian author inspired by Entreaguas.

We'll hike along the Coello River, surrounded by exotic vegetation, sharing stories of local culture. We'll visit hidden waterfalls , creeks, native plants, and colorful birds in this ecosystem. You will also meet a local family for a countryside lunch rich in flavors.

Our experience will feature local music for singing and dancing, and conclude with a crafts workshop accompanied by hot chocolate and an arepa. Finally, we'll return to Ibagué and drop you off at your hotel, 11 hours after pickup.
