Day 1: Ibagué - Finca Vancouver

Meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué at 4 am. A 4x4 will drive us to the trekking start point. After three and a half hours, we arrive at La Punta, Palomar, where we will have breakfast before a 10-kilometre (6.2 miles) hike. We will enjoy the Amberes valley and the Vancouver and Bombona lakes before stopping for a hamburger lunch. We will rest at Finca Vancouver country inn.

Day 2: Finca Vancouver - Arenales

After breakfast, we will hike 13 kilometres (8 miles) with a climb of 790 metres (2591 feet) to Nevado del Tolima. The trail includes moorlands and sandy areas where species like toucans and Andean condors can be spotted. A lunch of beef stew will be provided before reaching Arenales campsite.

Day 3: Arenales - Cañon Hot Springs

We start early with snacks for breakfast. The 12-kilometre (7.4 miles) hike to the summit will take about ten hours, reaching over 5200 metres (17060 feet). From the summit, views include the Nevado de Ruiz and the Magdalena River valley. We will relax at the thermal baths of Cañón and camp there.

Day 4: Cañón Hot Springs - Ibagué

The final day involves an 18-kilometre (11 miles) hike back to La Punta. We will visit El Salto waterfall in Palomar before enjoying a beef stew for lunch. The tour concludes in Ibagué at 7 pm.
