Day 1: Ibagué - Finca Vancouver

We will meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué at 4 am and drive by 4x4 for three and a half hours to La Punta in Palomar. After breakfast, we will hike 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) through the Amberes valley and enjoy the glacial landscape of Vancouver and Bombona lakes. Lunch will be served, followed by our arrival at the Finca Vancouver country inn for rest.

Day 2: Finca Vancouver - Arenales

After breakfast, we'll start a 13-kilometre (8 miles) route with a climb of up to 790 metres (2591 feet). The trail includes moorlands and sandy areas. We will stop for a beef stew lunch before reaching the Arenales campsite at 4400 metres (14435 feet).

Day 3: Arenales - Cañon Hot Springs

We will begin an early hike, with snacks for breakfast, covering 12 kilometres (7.4 miles) to the summit of Nevado del Tolima. This hike takes about ten hours, and the summit is over 5200 metres (17060 feet). Afterward, we will relax in the Cañón thermal baths.

Day 4: Cañón Hot Springs - Ibagué

On the final day, we’ll hike 18 kilometres (11 miles) back to La Punta, visiting El Salto waterfall in Palomar. Lunch will be a beef stew, and we'll return to Ibagué by 7 pm.
