Day 1: Ibagué - Finca Vancouver

Meeting at Carrera 4d in Ibagué at 4 am, we will take a 4x4 for a three and a half hour drive to La Punta, Palomar. Post-breakfast, we will trek 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) along a stony path, through the Amberes valley and glacial landscapes of Vancouver and Bombona lakes, where a hamburger lunch will be provided. We will end the day at the Finca Vancouver country inn.

Day 2: Finca Vancouver - Arenales

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a 13-kilometre (8 miles) trek with a climb of 790 meters (2591 feet). This will include encountering moorlands and sandy areas, with lunch featuring beef stew. We will reach the Arenales campsite after enjoying panoramic views at 4400 metres (14435 feet).

Day 3: Arenales - Cañon Hot Springs

Beginning early with snacks for breakfast, we’ll hike 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) to the summit, reaching an elevation over 5200 metres (17060 feet) in about ten hours. Views of Nevado de Ruiz, Nevado del Cisne, and more await. We will relax at the Cañón thermal baths afterward.

Day 4: Cañón Hot Springs - Ibagué

On the final day, we’ll hike 18 kilometers (11 miles) back to La Punta, visiting the waterfall El Salto and having lunch with beef stew before returning to Ibagué by 7 pm.

The tour includes 2 nights of camping and 1 night in a rural inn.
