The best way to experience the Prado Dam, a remarkable feat of hydraulic engineering, is through this engaging boat tour—you're sure to enjoy it!

Description of the Tour

We will begin by collecting you from your hotel in Ibagué at the scheduled hour for a journey to the municipality of Prado in Tolima. Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the Prado Dam, a stunning accomplishment born from German and Japanese engineering expertise. Did you know it’s often referred to as the inland sea of Colombia? Let's discover the reason behind this designation!

As we make our way to the shore of the Prado River, a boat will be ready for our adventure. Are you prepared to navigate the waters of the Prado Dam?

During the excursion, we will uncover more details about this significant hydraulic engineering project, which spans 4,200 hectares (10,378 acres) of lush jungle in Tolima. We will explore the stunning Cascada del Amor waterfall and the enigmatic Cueva del Mohán cave, along with other fascinating sites. The boat will pause for a chance to take a refreshing dip in the dam's waters, and should you choose, jet skis can be rented as well.

Following our boating experience, we’ll head back to the harbor for a delightful traditional lunch, featuring a main dish and a beverage, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Once re-energized, we may engage in sport fishing or take a trip to the waterfalls of the dam, depending on the weather.

At the end of the day, we will drive you back to Ibagué, ensuring you are returned to your hotel approximately 9 hours after our initial pickup.
