Ballestas Islands, Tambo Colorado & Moron Lagoon Tour
At 6:30 am, pickup will be at your hotel in Ica, followed by road travel to the El Chaco dock in the bay of Paracas.
A boat will take us to the Ballestas Islands for a panoramic tour, home to endemic species of fauna.
We will observe colonies of sea lions and birds including Humboldt penguins, waders, boobies, seagulls, and pelicans. The tour will also include a view of the Candelabro de Paracas, a geoglyph approximately 2500 years old, whose meaning is still unknown.
Afterward, we will return to Paracas and then travel to the archaeological site of Tambo Colorado, an important Inca settlement featuring adobe structures. The tour will cover its three sectors, including La Fortaleza.
Next, we will visit the lagoon of Morón in the district of Humay, known for its blue-green waters. Free time will be provided for swimming, sandboarding, and lunch at local restaurants.
The excursion concludes with a return to Ica, arriving at the Plaza de Armas between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
