Explore the magnificent Peruvian desert on this day trip from Ica to discover the Canyon of the Lost, one of Peru's hidden wonders!

Canyon of the Lost Day Trip

Between 6 and 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ica and head south. Our first stop will be at the main square of Plaza de Armas in Ocucaje, where we’ll view the notable monuments of the shark, the farmer and the fighting cocks.

Next, we'll visit a local restaurant where you can get breakfast and purchase snacks for the journey.

We will then proceed to Cañón de los Perdidos (Canyon of the Lost). Our initial stop will be at a viewpoint offering views of this geological feature.

Continuing, we'll visit the natural sanctuary of the Canyon of the Lost. After a brief explanation of its formation, you'll have time to take pictures at the canyon's mouth. We will also take a stroll along the canyon mouth, at the intersection of the Ica and Seco rivers, observing species of native fauna, including owls, black vultures, and lizards.

Before concluding our visit, you'll have time for lunch at a local restaurant. Additionally, we will visit a local winery to sample traditional products like pisco and wine made from pisco.

Our return to Ica will see us arriving at the main square between 3 and 4 pm.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Ica. For hotels further from the city (such as Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, Hotel Bodega El Huarango), we will pick you up at Plaza de Armas in Ica.
