Ica & Paracas 2-Day Expedition

Day 1: Ica - Huacachina - Ica

We will commence this intriguing journey by picking you up at the predetermined meeting point, whether it be your hotel or the bus terminal.

Your adventure begins with a stop at the Plaza de Armas, where you can appreciate the intricate architecture of the Cathedral of Ica and delve into its storied past. The next highlight will be the Regional Museum of Ica, where you will navigate through the anthropology and biological anthropology exhibits, uncovering the ancient civilizations that flourished in this area, including the Paracas and Nazca cultures. The richness of history here is truly captivating!

Next, we will visit a traditional winery in Ica, offering insight into the local viticulture. You will have the chance to sample various types of pisco and wine, staples of this remarkable region.

Our adventure continues at the enchanting Huacachina Lagoon, a sublime oasis in the heart of the desert. Here, you will embark on a thrilling buggy ride over the dunes, with optional sandboarding for the more adventurous.

As the day concludes, we will take you back to your accommodation, allowing you to relax, enjoy dinner, and recharge for the following day.

Day 2: Ica - Paracas - Ballestas Islands - Ica

Upon enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will depart to Paracas. Departing from the town's dock, you will embark on a boat excursion across the Pacific Ocean towards the renowned Ballestas Islands. During this trip, witness the impressive El Candelabro geoglyph, a large figure etched into the Paracas peninsula, shrouded in mystery regarding its true purpose.

As we approach the Ballestas Islands, you will be amazed by the rich biodiversity. Throughout the boat journey, keep an eye out for guano birds, and with some luck, you might catch a glimpse of dolphins and even Humboldt penguins. A special stop will be made at a sea lion conservation centre.

Afterward, you'll have some leisure time for lunch. Once refreshed, we will embark on a tour through the Paracas National Reserve. We will make stops at the Paracas Peninsula viewpoint, along with the beautiful Roja, Lagunillas, and Yumaque beaches, providing splendid opportunities for stunning photographs.

We will conclude the journey by returning you to Ica, wrapping up two remarkable days full of exploration and wonder.
