Ica & Paracas 2-Day Journey

Day 1: Exploring Ica - Huacachina - Ica

At the prearranged time, we will meet you at your chosen location, whether it be your hotel or the bus station, to embark on this captivating exploration of Ica.

The adventure kicks off at the Plaza de Armas, where you can appreciate the architecture of the Cathedral of Ica and delve into its rich centennial history. Following this, we will visit the Regional Museum of Ica, wandering through the anthropology and biological anthropology exhibits that showcase the ancient cultures, including the Paracas and the Nazca, that flourished in this area. The historical richness housed within this museum is sure to impress!

Next, we will make our way to a local winery in Ica, providing an introduction to the regional wine culture. Here, you will have the chance to sample various pisco and wine varieties, which are emblematic of this part of Peru.

Our journey continues to the enchanting Huacachina Lagoon, an oasis nestled in the heart of the desert. Here, we will board a buggy for an exhilarating ride across the dunes, and for the adventurous, sandboarding is an option.

As the day draws to a close, we will take you back to your hotel, allowing you to relax, enjoy dinner, and recharge for the following day's discoveries.

Day 2: From Ica to Paracas - Ballestas Islands - Ica

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, our journey takes us to Paracas. Starting from the harbor of this coastal town, we will embark on a boat trip across the Pacific Ocean towards the renowned Ballestas Islands. During the journey, we will catch sight of the remarkable El Candelabro geoglyph, a gigantic figure inscribed on the Paracas peninsula, with its purpose still wrapped in mystery.

Upon arrival at the Ballestas Islands, renowned for their remarkable biodiversity, we will observe guano birds, and, if we are fortunate, dolphins as well as Humboldt penguins. We will also make a special visit to a sea lion conservation center.

Afterwards, you will have leisure time to enjoy lunch. Refreshed, we will proceed with a tour of the Paracas National Reserve. This will include stops at the Paracas Peninsula viewpoint and the stunning Roja, Lagunillas, and Yumaque beaches. This setting offers an idyllic backdrop for capturing beautiful photographs.

To conclude this remarkable experience, we will return you to Ica after two unforgettable days filled with adventure.
