Palpa Archaeological Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Ica at 7 am to begin the tour in the Palpa Valley. Our first stop will be the Huarango Milenario, a tree over 1000 years old. Next, we will visit the Perfil del Inca in the district of Rio Grande, a remarkable rock formation at the Andes' foot.
The tour continues towards Palpa, where we will see the Solar Clock, featuring lines and geoglyphs of disputed significance. Upon entering Palpa, we will explore the main square and the Museum of Palpa, which displays various archaeological artifacts from pre-Inca settlements.
After Palpa, we will proceed east to view the petroglyphs of Chichictara and the geoglyphs of the Paracas Royal Family, ancient geometric designs similar to the renowned Nazca lines.
The final stop will be at the La Máquina spring, formed by a geological fault, offering free time for a swim and independent lunch at nearby restaurants.
We will return to Ica, arriving between 5 pm and 6 pm.
