Palpa Archaeological Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Ica at 7 am to start the archaeological route through the Palpa Valley, which has over 5000 years of history.
The first stop will be at the Huarango Milenario, a tree over 1000 years old. Next, we will go to the district of Rio Grande to admire the Perfil del Inca, a rock formation at the foot of the Andes.
We will continue to the town of Palpa, where we will see the Solar Clock, a set of lines and geoglyphs of unknown significance. Then we will visit the main square and the Museum of Palpa, showcasing various archaeological pieces from pre-Inca settlements in the valley.
After Palpa, we will drive east to discover the petroglyphs of Chichictara and the geoglyphs of the Paracas Royal Family, enigmatic geometric designs dating back thousands of years, similar to the Nazca lines.
The last stop will be at the La Máquina spring, formed by a geological fault, which divides the hills of the valley. Here, you will have free time for swimming and lunch at nearby restaurants.
We will return to Ica, arriving between 5 pm and 6 pm.
