Palpa Archaeological Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ica at 7 am to start this archaeological route through the Palpa Valley, a place with more than 5000 years of history.

The first stop will be at the Huarango Milenario, a tree over 1000 years old. Next, we'll go to the district of Rio Grande to see the Perfil del Inca, a rock formation at the foot of the Andes.

Continuing the tour, we will approach Palpa and first observe the Solar Clock, a set of lines and geoglyphs. After entering Palpa, we'll visit its main square and the Museum of Palpa, which displays archaeological pieces from the pre-Inca settlements.

After Palpa, we'll drive east to visit the petroglyphs of Chichictara and the geoglyphs of the Paracas Royal Family, ancient geometric drawings similar to the Nazca lines.

The last stop will be at the La Máquina spring, created by a geological fault. Here you'll have free time for a swim and to have lunch on your own in a nearby restaurant.

Finally, we'll return to Ica, with an arrival time between 5 pm and 6 pm.
